Stephen Curry's all-around effort sparked the Golden State Warriors‘ opening night win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

It was a night to remember for Curry, who notched his eighth career triple-double. However, the Warriors superstar also found himself in quite a lowlight early in the contest.

In true Shaqtin' a Fool fashion, Curry turned on his jetpack only to find out it doesn't have enough fuel, hence, the botched dunk.

If anyone can pull this off without a hint of embarrassment, it has to be Stephen Curry, right? The Warriors point guard brushed off the moment then went to work nonetheless.

Led by a red-hot LeBron James and a dominant Anthony Davis, the Lakers controlled the game for much of the first half and the entire third quarter. It wasn't until Jordan Poole rekindled his preseason form, teaming up with Curry and new acquisition Nemanja Bjelica to rally the Warriors all the way to a dub.

Curry finished the game with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. On the other hand, Poole tallied 20 points while Bjelica began his Warriors career with a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double.

The Warriors will head back to San Francisco for their home opener of the 2021-22 season. This time, Curry and co. will play host to the L.A. Clipper, a team that is looking to patch a big hole left by Kawhi Leonard's injury.
