Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is happy that teammate Draymond Green finally got his contract extension.

While Curry and fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson were largely considered the faces of the franchise when they were starting to rise in the NBA ranks, Green has earned the reputation as the team's glue guy. He does almost everything for the Warriors, from filling up the stats sheets to hustling for loose balls.

Put simply, Dray can be considered as the emotional leader of Golden State.

In his seven-year career with the Warriors, Green has averaged 9.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists. On paper, it doesn't seem like he's worthy of a four-year, $100 million extension, but again, it's all the little things he does on the court that makes him so valuable for Golden State.

With the Warriors losing some of their key players this offseason, the front office knew that it was important for them to keep the original core of the team together. Before they re-signed Green, the Dubs have also locked Thompson to a five-year max deal.

Green, Thompson and Curry led the Warriors to a championship in 2015. Although people are already counting them out next season, there are still those who believe that they can legitimately compete for titles with these three on board.

The Warriors may have a new-look roster, but one thing has never changed: they remain committed to excellence and winning. Keeping Green and the Splash Brothers is a testament to that.
