It has been more than four years since Kyrie Irving hit that clutch 3-pointer over Stephen Curry in the 2016 NBA Finals. It was the shot that broke the hearts of the Golden State Warriors, and understandably, Curry doesn't want to be reminded of that.

In a Zoom media session, Curry was asked about what he thinks about Irving's 3-point shot over him in the 2016 NBA Finals. Curry, obviously caught off guard, tried his best to answer the question.

“Why you bringing up old stuff, man?” the Warriors sharpshooter said, per Drew Shiller NBC Sports. “I had a great attitude coming into this. You trying to bring up old stuff …

“Ummm, I think about it but it's not like the first thought [that comes to mind] when I see that guy. What's done is done.”

Peep the clip below. Was Curry low-key pissed at the question?

It's pretty clear why Stephen Curry still can't talk about the shot. After all, the 2015-16 season was the year the Warriors notched a record-setting 73 wins. They were expected to win it all, especially after being up 3-1 in the NBA Finals. But lo and behold, LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers stormed back to snatch the title away.

While it's difficult to talk about it now, Curry believes that after their basketball careers are over, they'll be able to chat and have a good laugh about it.

“After tomorrow, we don't play them for awhile so it won't be in my head after that,” Curry added. “We'll have some drinks after our career is over to talk about all that old stuff you're bringing up.”

The Brooklyn Nets and the Warriors will face off on Dec. 22 in the 2020-21 season opener.
