Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says he's “excited” to have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green locked up for the long-haul.

The Warriors signed Thompson to a five-year max contract earlier this summer and agreed to a four-year, $100 million extension with Green a couple of days ago.

Curry is under contract with the Warriors through the 2021-22 season after signing a five-year, $201.2 million deal in the summer of 2017.

With Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston gone, Steve Kerr says having the original Big 3 of Curry, Thompson and Green is important for Golden State as it embarks on this next chapter.

Draymond Green could have waited to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020 and signed a more lucrative deal. This past season, Green averaged 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists while shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 28.5 percent from beyond the arc and 69.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Stephen Curry and D'Angelo Russell will start for the Warriors in the backcourt while Klay Thompson rehabs his ACL injury. Thompson could be out until February or March.

Golden State signed Russell to a four-year, $117 million contract as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets involving Kevin Durant.

The Warriors have $129 million and $138 million committed to their four max players of Curry, Thompson, Green and Russell for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, respectively.
