The Golden State Warriors bounced back in a big way during Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday night. They defeated the Boston Celtics to even the series at a win apiece, 107-88. In the win, Warriors superstar Stephen Curry led all scorers with 29 points on 9-for-21 shooting. He knocked down five shots from beyond the arc as well.

After the victory, Warriors coach Steve Kerr addressed the media. Kerr was asked for his thoughts on what Curry was able to do, particularly in the third quarter. NBC Sports writer Monte Poole captured Kerr's one-word take.

“Breathtaking,” Kerr said of Curry's third quarter.

He's not kidding. Curry scored 14 points in the quarter, helping the Warriors build an insurmountable 23-point lead. The Warriors guard knocked down timely shots, including coming off a screen to sink a 30-foot triple. But it wasn't just his offense that made a difference. Multiple times, Curry did a great job on the defensive end. He finished the game with three steals.

Curry and Draymond Green clearly set the tone in what was a physical Game 2 versus Boston. But it was the youngster, Jordan Poole, who put the exclamation point on the game. After knocking down a deep triple, Poole then hit a 39-foot buzzer-beater to end the third quarter.

The Warriors did not turn the ball over very often in Game 2. That forced the Celtics to have to try and score in the half court against Golden State's defense. They could not do that consistently as the game wore on. We'll see if that trend continues in Boston for Game 3 Wednesday.
