Since making his return to the court in the Western Conference semifinals against the New Orleans Pelicans, there have been many questions posed toward Stephen Curry's overall health from a Grade 2 MCL sprain to his left knee.
The 30-year-old has stepped back into the fold as a key piece to the puzzle helping guide the Warriors toward a fourth straight Western Conference Finals appearance. With that in mind, Curry looks have put to bed any concerns about the health of his knee after throwing down a strong one-hand dunk.
The fact that Curry was able to rise up that high on both legs to throw it down with one arm should speak to the confidence and comfort he has in his knee. There doesn't appear to be any hindrance or linger effects from the injury in any capacity. Instead, it should mean that he should be able to be a major factor on the floor offensively in his team's quest to repeat as NBA champions.
He has performed quite well since his return to the court averaging 23.2 points on 48.8 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc along with 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest. This includes scoring in double figures in each outing with three 20-point performance and nailing at least three 3-pointers all but once over that span.
Curry had a bit of a quiet night offensive in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting with his Kevin Durant leading the way with 37 points and Klay Thompson also recording 28 points. The two-time league MVP could have a few big outings in front of him over the duration of the series despite the tough matchup against All-Star point guard Chris Paul. Nonetheless, this small sequence at the end of practice shows that Curry is more than ready to go for the rest of the playoffs.
