It has now been nearly a couple of months since we all witnessed one of the more controversial Slam Dunk Contests of all-time. Nonetheless, it still remains fresh in the memory of Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, who could not help but take a shot at Dwyane Wade on a recent IG Live broadcast:

Players are trying to remain connected with the fans in the midst of the current coronavirus pandemic, and one of the ways they're doing so is by participating in IG live sessions. LeBron James was one of the first stars who started the trend, while Giannis Antetokounmpo also followed suit. This time around, it's Curry's turn to make an appearance.

The funny thing here is that Curry didn't event try to be discreet with his criticism, and blatantly called out Wade for allegedly handing over the Dunk Contest title to former Miami Heat teammate Derrick Jones Jr, in most controversial fashion. Many believe that Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon was robbed (again) of the title, with fingers pointing to Wade and his alleged bias.

As for Curry, the timing of the current suspension did not exactly work in his favor. The former back-to-back MVP winner had just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a fractured hand, only for the season to be put on an indefinite hold because of the pandemic.

There have been rumors about the NBA looking to cancel the current season, so perhaps this should prove to be beneficial for the Warriors, who just can't wait for next season.
