Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma had an interesting wardrobe choice to combat the chilly D.C. weather on Monday. Kuzma—traded from sunny California and the Los Angeles Lakers—currently has a prominent role on the Wizards' strong start to the season, and Kuzma showcased his flair with his newest fit. Kuzma strolled down the hallways of Capital One Arena wearing a gigantic Raf Simons pink sweater, and he immediately felt the heat from his NBA contemporaries for it.
NBC Sports Washington caught Kuzma walking toward the Wizards' locker room in his sweater:
Kuzma was put in the hot seat after word of his sweater choice was spread around the league, getting comments on his Instagram post from the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, JR Smith, and Isaiah Thomas. Molly Morrison tweeted a compilation of the comments:
Notably, LeBron James voiced out his shock and amusement: “Ain't no fu***ng way you wore that!!! I'm not pressing the like button cause this is outrageous Kuz!”
Anthony Davis followed up by saying, “You're outta line sir!!!” Meanwhile, Thomas and Smith also voiced out their displeasure in Kuzma's wardrobe statement. Kuzma would later go on to defend his pink sweater, calling it “fire,” while also using the cold D.C. weather as a justification.
Kuzma's sweater is definitely up there as one of the most surprising fits of the NBA season so far, and at this point, one can only admire Kuzma's brave choice to go out in public in it—whether you like the sweater or not.
