The Washington Wizards were on the brink of elimination on Monday as they faced off against the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 of their first-round series matchup. Wizards star Russell Westbrook knew what was at stake so he just had to stamp his authority in this contest.

Westbrook had the Wizards home crowd on their feet as he threw the hammer down all over the Sixers with this nasty putback jam (h/t Hoop District on Twitter):

As always, Russ put himself in an excellent position to grab the rebound off of a Rui Hachimura missed three. He may be one of the smallest guys out there, but you absolutely cannot fault Westbrook for his lack of effort.

Westbrook timed his jump to perfection as he emphatically put the ball back into the cup. Not only did the Wizards star get the broadcast team all excited, but his strong finish also had a similar effect on every single fan inside Washington's Capital One Arena.

The Wizards have their backs against the wall in this one, with the Sixers holding a 3-0 lead in the series. Washington may be down right now, but they definitely will not go out without a good fight.
