The team announced that Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will miss at least two weeks with a left quadriceps strain on Monday. Indiana added that it will provide further updates, as available, following her re-evaluation. The Fever did not specify when the injury occurred.
Clark is coming off a rough performance in her most recent game, a 90-88 Fever loss to the reigning champion New York Liberty. Though Clark managed 18 points and 10 assists, she did her damage on 6-of-18 shooting (2-of-11 3PT) and committed 10 turnovers.
“We are two possessions from being 4-0,” Clark said after the game. “But there were so many little areas of this game we could have improved. Our defense to start this game was poor… It definitely stings, but this is what's going to make us better at the end of the year.”
The Fever are 2-2 with their other loss coming by one point to the Atlanta Dream.
Despite Clark's struggles against New York — and some controversial officiating down the stretch — Clark managed to make some history against the Liberty. Her double-double put her above Chelsea Gray for most by a guard in league history. More impressively, Clark did it in just 44 career regular-season games.

Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell are the returning Indiana heavy-hitters with newcomers Natasha Howard and Sophie Cunningham joining the fray.
Through four games in her second season, Clark is averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game. That's after a Rookie of the Year 2024 season that saw her put up similar numbers across the board, helping bring the Fever back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Indiana plays next on Wednesday night against the Washington Mystics.
