After spending over half a decade in the WWE system, Liv Morgan has officially won her first championship with the company.

That's right, despite having found great success in both NXT and on the main roster as part of the Riott Squad and as a solo performer, Morgan has never secured any sort of championship gold… at least until Money in the Bank, where, after winning the Money in the Bank briefcase following a very fun ladder match, she cashed in on Ronda Rousey and became SmackDown champion 31 second later.

While this shouldn't come as too big of a surprise, as every female Money in the Bank winner has cashed in her briefcase the very same night save Carmella at FMitB I with a 100 percent success rate, it was still an impressive sight to see Morgan charge the ring, take Rousey's leg bar like a championship and roll her up for the 1-2-3.

But in a way, that was the easy part; Liv has secured her belt, and she had her Money in the Bank moment: Now she has to defend it. Fortunately, SmackDown has a ton of interesting options on its women's roster who can provide the first-time Champ with a a long and healthy feud from which to cement her legacy.

3 fun SmackDown Feuds for Liv Morgan.

3. Ronda Rousey

When Liv Morgan cashed in on Ronda Rousey after she retained her title over Natalya, it instantly created the potential for a rematch at SummerSlam.

On paper, such a match has everything going for it; Rousey can take a few weeks to lick her wounds while Morgan celebrates being on top before bursting back onto a SmackDown stage – or should I say ring – to seek revenge on the woman who took her title. Some iteration of this story has played out dozens of times in a WWE/F ring and will continue to do so for years to come because it works.

Factor in the way Morgan won her belt, via a sub-minute long Money in the Bank cash-in instead of a proper match, and legitimacy a win via the ObLIVian in the middle of the ring would bring legitimacy to the run and could propel this maiden title reign into something very interesting needed, especially since it would also allow Rousey to take a step back and prepare for a full-time return at The Royal Rumble in 2023.

2. Alexa Bliss

Though Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan have predominantly been friendly in the time since the former left her “Fiend phase,” all it takes is one minor disagreement for all that to go away. Featuring similar looks, similar athletic acumen, and similarly passionate fanbases, the right and proper feud between Bliss and Morgan would be a perfect way to keep SmackDown‘s champion a fixture of weekly television for weeks to come, whether it begins after a mini feud with Rousey at SummerSlam or this week.

Since they first shared the ring all the way back in 2015, Morgan and Bliss have wrestled 12 times against each other and 20 times as a team, most recently in their 3-on-3 win over Team RAW in the lead-in to Money in the Bank. If WWE embraces a full-on, long-term feud between the two women, it could present both with many meaningful segments and matches from which to further fortify their characters.

And honestly, why not, right? After working for the same company for seven years now, it'd be cool to see the two have a full-on feud, especially with Bliss as the heel, especially some they've only had two proper solo matches this far in their careers.

1. Bayley

In case you haven't heard, Bayley is inching close and closer towards an in-ring return after tearing her ACL in the lead up to Money in the Bank last year. While there's no word on when it could happen or who she could have her sights on when that day eventually comes, what if its Liv Morgan, a woman she's been in the ring with over 100 times and counting?

Think about it; Bayley is a free agent after failing to hear her name called in the 2021 WWE Draft and could theoretically shoot her shot at either brand's champion if she so sees fit. With a slew of different performers, from Carmella to Rhea Lipley standing on line for a shot at Bianca Belair, going after Morgan, especially after she just wrestled someone like Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam, could set up an immediate feud that lingers on through Surviver Series, Extreme Rules, and maybe even all the way to WrestleMania if the company and its performers plays their cards right.
