When it comes to being creative in their intimidation tactics, leave it to WWE’s The New Day to bring their own brand of zaniness to the table.

After weeks of going back and forth, this week’s SmackDown featured a new look for The New Day, or rather The New Raid, as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came out to the Viking Raiders’ entrance theme with some impressive Viking cosplay.

Taking to the mic, the duo did their best Viking impressions – honestly sounding more authentic than the Raiders themselves – as they buried their foes as the actual cosplayers who only played Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – because God of War 2018 is probably too good of a game to compare them to – and watched all of the Thor movies. When this, understandably, brought out an angry Viking Raiders, The New Day had a surprise in store for them in the form of Jinder Mahal and Shanky, which you can see below:

Is this what hardcore wrestling fans mean when they talk about “psychology,” as it’s pretty clear that Kingston and Woods got in the Raiders’ heads on SmackDown.

After all this time, New Day still always manages to entertain and let their fun personalities shine through. This is especially apparent in Xavier Woods as he flexes his video game references, almost as if he is a host on a video game TV channel. While the segment was fun, it also added a lot of intrigue to the feud, as Mahal and Shanky joined the dynamic duo against their common enemy.

Will this partnership last? Will Mahal get sick of it and turn heel? No matter what, if it’s New Day, it should at least be fun. Maybe they'll bring up the Raiders' basketball skills next week.
