Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, AKA WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair, is set to star in the indie horror/thriller You Lose You Die, Deadline exclusively reported.

Fliehr will star alongside Freddy Rodriguez. Carlos “Spiff TV” Suarez wrote the script. This will also be his feature directorial debut. The movie is currently in preproduction.

The film follows the story of Mr. Fantastik (Rodriguez), a sociopathic tech expert who runs a popular show on the dark web. He is joined by two other sociopathic tech experts Ms. Perfect (Fliehr) and Mr. Creep (Anthony Alvarez). Thousands of the show's viewers vote on games and challenges that prisoners have to play. If the prisoners lose, the viewers then get to vote on what weapons the sociopaths can use to kill them.

Rodriguez, Fliehr and Alvarez are joined by Josh Bredl (Mr. Large), Sophia Zimba (Kara), Ashley Hernandez (Julie), Alejandro Duran (Alfonso), Noah Crider (Chase), Marcella Acuña (Christie), Mercy Grant (Darling) and Lydia Faith Gomez (Jamie). The actor also serves as an executive producer.

Rodriguez said in a statement to the entertainment site, “I'm excited to embark on this new journey as Executive Producer and star of You Lose You Die and help bring such a talented artist like Carlos ‘Spiff TV' Suarez's vision to life.”

“I was humbled by the outpouring of love and support after working with Robert Rodriguez on Planet Terror and Scott Derrickson on VHS 85, so the decision to dive back into the elevated horror genre comes with a deep level of respect for its rabid and loyal fan base,” the statement continued.

Rodriguez was most recently seen in the 2023 horror-thriller movie V/H/S/85 as Detective Wayne Johnson. In the same year, he also appeared in the TV series Wu-Tang: An American Saga. The actor is best known for playing Federico Diaz in the hit HBO series Six Feet Under which ran for five seasons.

The show was won nine Primetime Emmy Awards out of over 50 nominations over show's five years. One of those nominations was for Rodriguez in 2002 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He was in the main ensemble cast along with Michael C. Hall, Peter Krause, Frances Conroy and Lauren Ambrose.

From the wrestling wring to the dark web

Fliehr, who performs on the SmackDown brand for WWE, under the ring name Charlotte Flair. Due to her torn ACL, MCL and meniscus, she is taking a break from wrestling.

The professional wrestler is a 14-time women's world champion, six-time WWE (Raw) Women's Champion and a seven-time SmackDown Women's Champion. She was the last holder of the Divas Championship title. She also was the first winner of the WWE (Raw) Women's Championship title.

In 2019's WrestleMania 35, she had a match with Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. It was the first time that women headlined a WWE flagship event.

You Lose You Die is Fliehr's first movie role since 2017's Psych: The Movie. She played Heather Rockrear, the villain Thin White Duke's (Zachary Levi) side kick.
