Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has accomplished quite a bit in his lifetime. Is the United States presidency the next item on the agenda?

Johnson said back in 2017 he was “seriously considering” a run for president. The WWE legend and Hollywood star reiterated he would consider running during a recent interview with Erin Jensen of USA Today:

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that's what the people wanted,” Johnson said, via Jensen. “Truly I mean that, and I'm not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people…So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson rose to fame in the wrestling world in the late 1990s, becoming one of the faces of the WWE during the acclaimed “Attitude Era.”

Johnson's star power and personality resulted in him earning a number of roles in action films, and he eventually parlayed those opportunities into a long and lucrative acting career.

But Johnson seems increasingly interested in expanding his interests and general business portfolio. Johnson teamed with an investor group to purchase the XFL for $15 million this past summer, with the league releasing a trailer this past October announcing its eventual return in 2022.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will have his hands full in terms of making the XFL profitable. He would obviously have that much more on his hands in the event he ended up running for president.
