Qualifying matches in WWE and in any wrestling promotion are easy; win the match, and you qualify for whatever is up for grabs, lose the match and you don't. It's black and white, day, and night, and really shouldn't have much ambiguity one way or another.
But what happens when two wrestlers are disqualified at the very same time in a match literally designed to decide on a qualified participants.
Well, WWE is going to have to get out their rules book to find out, as that was the outcome of the Money in the Bank qualifying match that kicked off this week's episode of Smackdown!; a match between noted rivals Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.
Now granted, WWE tipped their hands early on at the start of this week's episode of SmackDown, as McIntyre was attacked early on by Pete “Butch” Dunne before he even made it to the ramp, and that interference would continue once the bell range but for the most part, the match was a hard-hitting, by-the-numbers bout between a pair of performers who have wrestled 68 times according to Cagematch… at least until the duo decided to go rogue and hit each other with chairs to earn the DQ.
The results? No one officially advances to MitB from the match and the entire WWE Universe, especially Adam Pearce, the man in charge of keeping the show on track, is very confused indeed.

Fortunately, if the post-match segments featuring Pearce and both of the match's participants are of any indication, this feud isn't cooling off any time soon.
