While it never gets as much media attention as the MVP award, the 6th Man Of The Year award garners plenty of action at sportsbooks, and that's the case once again with the 2021 NBA 6th Man of the Year odds.

Montrezl Harrell took home the award in 2019-'20, edging out future Los Angeles Lakers teammate Dennis Schroder and then Los Angeles Clippers teammate Lou Williams.

Harrell, Schroder, and Williams were the only players who received first place votes.

Entering the 2020-'21 season, only two of the three crack the top spots on the odds table for this year's award.

Lou Williams (+400) started as the odds on favorite to hoist the 2021 6th Man of the Year trophy, which would be the fourth of his career. He is currently tied for the most 6MOTY awards in NBA history with Jamal Crawford.

Montrezl Harrell (+1,000) fell outside of the top five despite his victory in 2020. In his new role with the Lakers, the ferocious rebounder was still expected to be a serious contender. He currently ranks among the top five contenders.

Schroder is no longer on the table as he has taken on a starting role with the Purple and Gold.

Rounding out the oddsmakers' top five contenders to kick off the season were Jordan Clarkson (+600), Danilo Gallinari (+700), Goran Dragic (+800) and Serge Ibaka (+900).

Now that we're halfway through the season, Clarkson has all but locked up the award with 30 games or so to play.

Clarkson has dominated for the Jazz off the bench, consistently proving a spark on the offensive end. His effectiveness is reflected in the (-650) odds he currently holds to hoist the trophy.

Analyzing 2021 6th Man Of The Year Odds

The first step in selecting which player to bet on is to analyze if the payoff is worth the risk.

If you decide that Jordan Clarkson (-650) has the best chance to take home the hardware, then you can bet $650 on him to win $100.

Even if you think Clarkson has a better chance to win the award than any other player, it could still be worth it to bet on a different sixth man for the higher payout.

You may predict it is more likely for Clarkson to win the award than Montrezl Harrell, but Harrell's payout is significantly higher than Williams'.

While $650 pays off $100 if the Jazz spark plug wins the 6MOTY award, $100 would pay off $2,400 if Harrell wins his second consecutive trophy.

Weigh your odds and select the player that gives you most bang for your buck.
