50 Cent has expressed his interest in bringing Ice Cube's BIG3 basketball league to Shreveport, Louisiana. In an Instagram post, 50 Cent shared photos of himself courtside at a Boston Celtics vs. Houston Rockets game with Ice Cube, the CEO, and Founder of BIG3, Hot97 reports. The rapper captioned the post, “I had so much fun at the Boston/Rockets game man. I told @icecube I want to bring the big 3 to Shreveport, all roads lead to Shreveport, it’s a go!”

Unlike traditional sports leagues, BIG3 doesn't have home cities and travels to different cities for each game day. Shreveport, not typically known as a basketball city, might see the construction of a temporary facility to host the league for a game day.

Ice Cube and BIG3 recently received an honor from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for their extraordinary contributions to basketball. The Rock N' Roll Hall of Famer was recognized with the Ice Cube Impact Award. Cube shared a video of the ceremony on Instagram, announcing, “Ice Cube officially in the Hall Of Fame.”

BIG3, founded in 2017, is a 3-on-3 basketball league that features former NBA and international players. With 12 teams currently in the league, the inspiration came from Ice Cube's passion for basketball and his experience playing in celebrity leagues. 50 Cent, taking to both Instagram and X to express his interest in bringing a BIG3 team to Shreveport, received an enthusiastic response from fans, with over 101,000 likes and 1,000 comments on his post within an hour. As discussions unfold, the potential addition of Shreveport to BIG3's roster adds excitement to the league's dynamic and expands its reach to new audiences.
