It has been a rocky 2024 for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in the news, with reports of various issues between the couple and potential divorce circulating regularly online. While there has not been any direct confirmation, the two may have given the public a massive signal that the reports of an impending may be more true than they have tried to let on.

Despite efforts to refute reports of any issues, it was reported Sunday that Affleck and Lopez have “quietly” been trying to sell the $60 million mansion they bought after tying the knot in 2020, according to TMZ. The outlet claimed the couple was trying to sell the home through realtor Santiago Arana, an agent for boutique real estate group The Agency, to try and move the home.

The reported asking price for the house is at $65 million, which would see the couple take a significant loss on the sale due to its original price, any work done on the house, and broker fees and commission.

The report follows what has been a chaotic few weeks for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck as rumors about their future swirl and intensify.

Tour Cancellation

It began with the cancellation of Lopez's This Is Me…Now tour, which some online initially believed was due to reports of low ticket sales and multiple cancelled dates ahead of the tour cancellation. However, sources reportedly close to Jennifer Lopez refuted these claims and instead said the singer-actress was taking time to focus on herself and her family life.

“Life is a lot right now,” a reported source told People. “As sad as she was to cancel the tour, she’s also relieved. She needs to take care of herself.”

“The decision was something that her team encouraged. Everyone is supportive of her focusing on family right now.”

Pushing Back

New reports of the couple heading toward divorce began to emerge around the same time as the cancellation which the two made multiple public efforts to try and refute. One instance saw Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez together at a basketball game for Affleck's son, Samuel, where the couple had several public displays of affection, leading many online to speculate the pair were trying to combat divorce rumors.

Lopez has also actively tried to combat reports of any issues in the marriage on her own, with her regularly shooting down questions asked about the couple's marriage. One of the most notable instances came while at a press conference her new Netflix film Atlas when a reporter asked if she and Affleck had separated.

“You know better than that,” Lopez told the reporter. She was backed up by her co-stars Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown.

Despite the efforts, Affleck had already moved out the mansion in May and was living at a rental property in Brentwood, California.
