Cairo Santos may have sealed the deal for the Chicago Bears when they won over the Minnesota Vikings but there was a lot that Matt Eberflus had to pull before getting there. One crucial play that turned the tide was when Justin Fields connected a 36-yard pass to DJ Moore before the field goal. The head coach unveiled how big of a play the wide receiver made, via Courtney Cronin of ESPN.

“In that moment, you need it. We only really needed 15, or 18 yards to make it nice in terms of our kick line there. But obviously when you get that big chunk there, kind of seals the deal there,” Matt Eberflus said after the pass from Justin Fields got them close to executing the kick with much security because of the distance to the uprights.

He also did not forget to praise the Bears‘ wide receiver after making the insanely athletic pass and dodging the Vikings' secondary, “DJ runs a beautiful in the cut. He's a great route runner. The way he played today, the way he took a lot of those short passes, take them for eight, nine yards at a time, and those aren't easy, and he's a heck of an athlete and a better teammate.”

DJ Moore ended the game as the receptions leader for the Bears. He recorded 114 receiving yards on 11 receptions by having an average yardage of 10.4 per catch. He may have not recorded a touchdown but his heroics against the Vikings will not be unsung.
