After a brutal 1-6 start to the 2023 campaign, no one had much hope in the Denver Broncos and it honestly looked like the Russell Wilson era would be coming to a close. But, this team has turned things around with the quarterback under center, winning five games in a row and most recently beating a solid Cleveland Browns group in Week 12, who have one of the best defenses in the league.

Following the victory, Russ made it clear that no one on this Broncos roster ever stopped believing in what they could accomplish.

Via Pro Football Talk:

“We’re resilient,” Wilson said in his postgame press conference. “The best part about us is we’ve been resilient for all of these games. We’ve played some really great teams. Top-echelon teams, obviously, in the AFC. Kansas City, obviously, Buffalo on the road which is a tough environment. Cleveland has been great all year. It’s a great defense and everything else. I think the best thing about us, though, is it’s about us. It’s about us being together.”

This win streak is incredibly impressive because Denver isn't beating poor teams. They took down the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, and most recently, the Browns.

Russell Wilson is finally playing like the QB of the past, too. He's now completed nearly 70% of his passes for 2,199 yards and 20 touchdowns against four interceptions. That's a far cry from 2022 when Wilson threw 11 picks and just 16 TDs in a whole season.

While offensively the Broncos are showing promise, their defense is also shining. They had three takeaways on Sunday, stifling the Browns' attack. At 6-5, the playoffs are still very much a reality if Sean Payton's squad can continue to thrive.

The Houston Texans are up next in Week 13.
