The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently 3-3 on the season with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Buffalo Bills looming this week. This is the first year of the Baker Mayfield era in Tampa Bay, and he has gotten off to a pretty decent start, and the Buccaneers are currently a middle-of-the-pack NFL team.

So far this season, Baker Mayfield is 133-204 for 1,363 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. He isn't putting up crazy numbers, but he has the Buccaneers competing, and that's a pretty good place to start.

One thing that Mayfield has struggled with so far this season is injuries. He injured his knee earlier this season against the New Orleans Saints, and it's still finding ways to bother him. He recently offered an update on that situation.

“Yesterday it was pretty sore,” Mayfield said according to an article from NBC Sports. “Less than 24 hours after the game, that’s kinda how it always goes. Just re-aggravated what I had against the Saints. Nothing too bad, just pain tolerance and move on.”

It doesn't sound like this is anything serious, and it doesn't sound like it is going to keep Mayfield from playing against the Bills on Thursday night. That's great news for Tampa Bay as the last thing a .500 team needs at this point in the season is losing their quarterback to an injury.

The Bills are coming into this matchup with the Buccaneers as big favorites. The spread currently favors Buffalo by 8.5 points. Still, you never what's going to happen in the NFL. The Bills were huge favorites on Sunday against the New England Patriots, and they lost. This game will be at home for the Bills, but it still should be a pretty good game.
