Giannis Antetokounmpo put on another superstar display Wednesday night when the Milwaukee Bucks hit the Big Apple to play the Brooklyn Nets. The Bucks, winners of 10 of their last 12 games, never trailed after the first quarter and were led by Antetokounmpo who put up 32 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in the win.

After the game, the two-time NBA MVP met with Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. The 23-year-old Brazilian was in New York and stopped by to check out the game. Regardless if seeing Antetokounmpo was planned or not, it is a cool experience for another world class athlete to have.

Antetokounmpo gave Vini Jr. his shoes and jersey from the game and signed both of them. What a classy move from one of the most popular and well-liked athletes on the planet.

Antetokounmpo is an avid football fan and has an ownership stake in Nashville SC of the MLS. He is a fan of Inter Milan in Italy.

It is nice to see athletes from different sports and cultures interact with one another, especially in such a friendly manner. Greece and Brazil are a long way apart, but somehow someway Antetokounmpo was able to cross paths with Vinicius Junior.

Football is becoming more popular by the day in the United States. Antetokounmpo and the rest of America will have plenty of chances to see Vinicius Junior and other football stars throughout the next three summers.

The United States is hosting or joint-hosting three major international football tournaments in 2024, 2025 and 2026, starting with the Copa America next June. The first-ever expanded Club World Cup will take place in 2025 with the 23rd FIFA World Cup set for 2026.

Vinicius Junior and the Brazilian national team will be seen as favorites in both the Copa America and the World Cup, as will Real Madrid in the Club World Cup. Winning hardware is nothing new for Vini Jr. so shining in any or all of those tournaments would not come as a surprise.
