Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo got a piece of history in their Friday night win over the Indiana Pacers.
The so-called Greek Freak already had 25 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists midway through the final quarter of the game, and in doing so, he became only the second player in league history to achieve the statistical feat in the first two games of a season.
He tallied 25 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists in their opening game against the Charlotte Hornets.
According to Justin Kubatko of StatMuse, Antetokounmpo joins Kevin Garnett as the only players to have a 25-15-5 night in “each of their team’s first two games of the season” since the ABA-NBA merger.

Garnett achieved it in the 2004-05 season when he was still with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Big Ticket had 28 points, 20 rebounds, and seven assists in the Wolves' opener against the New York Knicks back then, and he followed it up with a 25-point, 15-rebound, and seven-assist performance against the Denver Nuggets.
The Bucks won against the Pacers, 118-101, with Antetokounmpo finishing with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.
It remains to be seen if Giannis Antetokounmpo can keep up that all-around production, but if he does, he’ll certainly be in a league of his own.
