Few stars across the NBA are as universally beloved as DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls star has captivated the entire league this season to elevate him from jilted Toronto Raptors icon to resurgent Chicago savior.
He flexed his muscles once again on Thursday night as he sank the game-winning bucket plus the foul to carry the Bulls to a clutch win over the Atlanta Hawks, 112-108:

He did it with the rest of the NBA watching, too. Both LeBron James and Draymond Green were watching the game together and posted their reactions live on Instagram:
“Everybody knew,” captioned Draymond while also tagging the Bulls star in his post.
“Y'all knew what he was going to do. That's when you know you're the truth. When they know what you're going to do and you still can't stop him,” LeBron James was heard saying in the background.

James Harden was a little too early to the party. He tweeted out to DeMar DeRozan even before the conclusion of the Hawks-Bulls game to congratulate him on breaking records while the game was still ongoing:
proud of ma dawg @DeMar_DeRozan

Several other stars also chimed in as they watched DeRozan slice up the ATL defense. Chris Paul, while on the sidelines with injury called the Bulls star exactly what he was. Donovan Mitchell had nothing but one word to say to DeMar after that shot:
Deebo is a baddddddd man!! @DeMar_DeRozan

Sheesh Demar!!

Michael Beasley took it a step further, harping on the lack of MVP noise for the most valuable man in Chicago today:
Why @DeMar_DeRozan not in MVP convo??

DeMar DeRozan finished with 37 points on an absurd 15-for-21 shooting from the field as a perimeter player. In some ways, he has become the Stephen Curry of the midrange, proving that if you're potent enough at that spot it's still an effective shot.
The Chicago Bulls made the signing of the offseason with DeMar DeRozan. We just didn't know it yet then, but he's making it undisputable now.
