We're set for another betting prediction and pick for the Eastern Conference as we'll see the Boston Celtics visit the Indiana Pacers as this series shifts to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Celtics lead the series 2-0 after two dominant home performances – will the Pacers be able to stand tall and defend their own floor? Check out our NBA odds series for our Celtics-Pacers prediction and pick.

The Boston Celtics are up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals after a resounding 16-point win in Game 2 at home. They shot an impressive 53.4% in the last game and didn't let the Pacers close the gap down the stretch. With injuries to the Pacers' lineup, the Celtics will look to make this a short series and get some rest before the Finals.

The Indiana Pacers will head back to Gainbridge Fieldhouse down 0-2 in this series to the best team in the East, but they were already in this spot against the Knicks and their young lineup is playing wise beyond their years. Their leader Tyrese Haliburton went down with a hamstring injury at the end of the Game 2, so they'll need to regroup and rest up ahead of this one.

Why The Celtics Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Celtics have looked like the best team in the NBA all throughout the season and they're continuing their dominance in the Playoffs. The one question was their performances at home and whether or not they would lay off the gas at some point during this series. Well, they defended their home floor and now have a comfortable 2-0 lead without really looking threatened throughout this series. Al Horford has been massive for them on the glass and led Game 2 with 10 rebounds. The Pacers are already thin on the interiors, so if Jayson Tatum and Al Horford are controlling the boards, it'll only turn into sustainable offense the other way for the Celtics.

The Celtics continue to be without Kristaps Porzingis in their lineup and they're still unclear on when he'll be returning. It doesn't look like they'll be getting him back this series, but it could indicate them resting him ahead of a hopeful Finals trip. Either way, the Celtics' defense has looked dominant all series and the Pacers can't seem to stop both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown from scoring. If the Celtics continue to hit their open threes once the Indiana defense breaks down, they'll win this game with ease.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Pacers had their chance to stun the Celtics in Game 1 and turn the entire trajectory of this series around. They lost in a heartbreaker, and while they came out strong in the first half of Game 2, they were no match for the Celtics' offense down the stretch of the game. Even worse, Tyrese Haliburton went down with a hamstring injury that he missed 10 Regular Season games with. Unlike the Regular Season, however, he won't have a chance to nurse himself to health with the quick turnaround. If the Pacers want to have a chance in this series, they'll need Tyrese Haliburton to fully be himself and orchestrate their high-octane offense.

The Pacers have made a living during these Playoffs in out-running and playing teams at a higher pace than they're used to. Without Tyrese Haliburton in their lineup, their offensive flow takes a massive hit and it'll be up to players like Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith to become their primary scorers. TJ McConnell will also have to have the game of his life on both ends of the floor if they want this win.

Final Celtics-Pacers Prediction & Pick

This is the most pivotal game of the Playoffs for Indiana as they can either gain momentum with a win or basically surrender their chances by going down 0-3 to the best team remaining in the Playoffs. With the potential loss of Tyrese Haliburton for Game 3, the Pacers will have an impossible obstacle to hurdle with the loss of their leader.

The Boston Celtics have looked clean all series and their defense has been playing up-to-par with their offense. They recently just scored a franchise Playoff-high with 133 points in Game 1 and if Haliburton isn't on the floor, they won't have much to worry about in terms of the Pacers' offense.

Without Tyrese Haliburton, the obvious pick here would be to side with the Celtics to win this game big. However, we've seen teams in the Playoffs rally when losing their star player and I expect the crowd energy to be wild in Indianapolis. With the spread where it is, let's take a shot on the home underdogs in the Indiana Pacers.
