Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is in a league of his own. He showed that in Week 14 against the New York Giants with an epic performance highlighted by a cannon of a throw in the second quarter.

Herbert finished the contest with three touchdowns and zero interception. If his ridiculous throw in the second frame is not enough proof, he was phenomenal all game long as he accumulated 275 yards on an efficient 23-of-31 pass completion rate.

With his performance, he also became the only quarterback in NFL history to record at least 30 passing touchdowns in each of his first two seasons. Not even Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes did that, and although it might be unfair since they both did not start immediate in their rookie year, they both failed to reach back-to-back 30-pass TD marks in their first full-time gigs.

Justin Herbert and the Chargers took down the Giants rather easily, going away with a 37-21 win. Los Angeles took the lead in the second quarter with a 17-0 performance to end the half, giving no chance to New York at all despite their late attempt for a comeback.

The victory kept the Chargers within striking distance of the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West with an 8-5 record, and by the looks of it, they are more than ready to put up a fight for the top spot in the division.
