Philip Rivers is one of the longest-tenured quarterbacks for a team in the NFL. He's been the quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers since the 2006 NFL season and has taken the Chargers to many highs. But at the age of 38, it's understandable why there could be uncertainty for the future.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter report that Rivers has moved him and his family out of their San Diego home, and now reside in Florida. While Rivers admitted that the move was necessary for his family, he's uncertain about his football future.

Last season, Rivers threw for the lowest amount of touchdowns since his 2007 season. He also ended the season with 20 interceptions, as the Chargers missed the playoffs.

Rivers admitted after the Chargers' last game of the 2019 season, he may have played his last game in the blue, gold and white.

Rivers did not speak to reporters on Dec. 30 when he cleaned out his locker. He tearfully said after the Chargers' final game of the season that he wanted to continue playing but acknowledged it might not be with the Chargers.

“I plan to play football, so yes,” Rivers said on Dec. 29. “Where that is going to be will get sorted out over the next few months. I've never been in this position. … I'm very thankful for the 16 years, and if there is another, I'll be thankful for that.”

While Rivers may have a bit still in the tank, it's understandable if the franchise wants to move in a different direction.
