Why The Diamondbacks Could Cover The Spread

For the Diamondbacks to win it has to start with slowing down the bats of the Phillies. In the three wins so far, they have given up just seven runs, while they have given up 21 runs in the three losses. It will be Brandon Pfaadt to makes the start for the Diamondbacks in game seven. He was 3-9 on the year with a 5.72 ERA but has been solid in the playoffs. So far, in three starts, he had pitched 12.2 innings and given up just three runs. That is good for a 2.13 ERA. All three of those runs came in the first start of the postseason for Pfaadt. In the last two starts, he has gone ten innings without giving up a run while striking out 11 and giving up just four hits.

Final Diamondbacks-Phillies Game 7 Prediction & Pick

Both starting pitchers will have short leashes in this game. Ranger Suarez has still been better in the playoffs so far this year. He also has major prior playoff experience. The Phillies did have the better bullpen in the regular season, but the Diamondbacks were still great. Still, do not be surprised if Zach Wheeler comes in if needed, which could tilt the tide for the Phillies. Further, the Phillies have the better bats. They have scored 58 runs in their 11 games in the playoffs averaging 5.27 runs per game. The Diamondbacks are averaging just 4.2 runs per game in the playoffs so far. The prediction is this Diamondbacks-Phillies game seven is the Phillies playoff experience pays off, and the bullpen carries them to the World Series and a cover in this game.

Final Diamondbacks-Phillies Game 7 Prediction & Pick: Phillies -1.5 (+132)
