Stephen Ross, the owner of the Miami Dolphins, pledged $13 million to the Ross Initiative in Sports Equality — a non-profit organization created by himself. While some applauded Ross for his generosity, Kenny Stills blasted Ross for his seemingly charitable donation.

Following the news of Ross donating to his own non-profit organization, Stills took to Twitter to call out the Dolphins owner.

Before the 2019 NFL season, Stills was traded to the Houston Texans after spending four years with the Dolphins. Even when Stills was with Miami, he wasn't afraid to speak out against Ross's actions. Just last year, Stills exposed Ross for holding a fundraiser for Donald Trump's reelection efforts.

Of course, Trump is included in the group that is strongly against players kneeling during the national anthem. As a result, Ross's decision to donate money toward combating systemic racism and his association with Trump sends mixed signals.

Also, Stills was with Miami when Colin Kaepernick decided to kneel during the anthem in 2016. The big-play wideout was among the players in the NFL that joined in with Kaepernick and his stance against racial injustice.

At the same time, it is important to point out what Stills alluded to in his tweet toward Ross. Despite donating his own money, Ross is sending the money to one of his non-profit organizations. Provided that, it will be considered a tax write-off for the wealthy NFL owner.

On one hand, Ross could be genuinely trying to create change when it comes to racial injustice and inequality. But on the other hand, he could be trying to donate money to instill a different image of himself while helping himself financially. Regardless of what Ross's true intentions are, Stills is still hesitant to trust the Dolphins owner.
