The Philadelphia Eagles knocked off the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in a game few expected would be close going into it. The Eagles jumped out to a 7-0 lead only to witness the Bills charge back to take a 17-7 lead going into halftime.

The Eagles' biggest Week 12 heroes were revealed recently. Eagles kicker Jake Elliott and QB Jalen Hurts were among them. Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni entered the same territory as legends of the game Vince Lombardi and John Madden.

After the game, Sirianni got real on the Eagles' ongoing first half struggles. He said that the team is staying the course and taking its struggles as a learning lesson.

Eagles Coach Sirianni Speaks Out

Reporter Martin Frank shared the Eagles coach's thoughts on the Bills game on Monday.

According to Frank, Sirianni said his team is “not hitting the panic button by any means” by slow first half starts last 2 games.

“Says they'll keep working at it. #Eagles,” Frank also wrote in a post on Twitter Monday afternoon.

Sirianni Praises Special Teams Star

Sirianni also lauded Britain Covey, whom he called possibly the best at position in the NFL.

Covey has helped to set up Jalen Hurts, D'Andre Swift, AJ Brown and the rest of the Eagles' weapons with great field position in key matchups recently.

“He might be the best punt returner in the NFL,” Frank added on X.

Sirianni also reportedly said he could not believe he cut Covey from the team previously, and was later reminded that he cut him from the roster two times total.

49ers-Eagles Rematch Looms

Philadelphia is set to take on last year's championship game opponent, the San Francisco 49ers, at home this weekend.

The game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. kickoff and is expected to be televised on FOX networks nationwide.

The Eagles won last season's NFC Championship Game by a final score of 31-7 as the 49ers were without star quarterback Brock Purdy and  his original backup Jimmy Garoppolo.
