The recent rumor that Taylor Swift may appear in Deadpool and Wolverine is now being silenced.
Swifties take note that the superstar WILL NOT be in the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine. Sorry. Entertainment Weekly confirmed the news after wild speculation that the Cruel Summer singer would have a cameo in the summer movie.
Taylor Swift in Deadpool and Wolverine rumors
Rumors went into overdrive when an IMAX poster on Monday featured the MCU stars holding hands and donning friendship bracelets. These bracelets are very similar to the ones for which the Eras Tour is known—except for what's on them. Each one spells out “IMAX.”
The post had the caption: “Bring your bestie to IMAX on July 26. #DeadpoolAndWolverine.”

After the new promo was dropped, the comments flew in with speculation.
“Deadpool and Wolverine (Taylor's Version),” one person said.
“Okay so this confirms Taylor as Lady Deadpool,” wrote another.
“If Taylor is really Lady Deadpool I won't shut up about it like ever,” another enthusiastic fan proclaimed.
“The Swifties are about to take over the cinemas!” someone else announced.
Before this post, people talked about how Swift might star as Dazzler. Then, last October, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were at the Kansas City Chiefs NFL game — which made rumors swirl like dancing at the Eras Tour. While attending, they were with the film's director, Shawn Levy, and also Swfit.
In case you haven't heard, Taylor is heavily involved with the Chiefs' tight end, Travis Kelce. They've been dating since last year.
To fuel the fire, Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, have been friends with The Tortured Poets Department singer for years.
Combining all of these coincidences and connections makes it easy to conclude that Taylor Swift is in Deadpool and Wolverine. But no. It's not the case.
Reynolds told Fandango in May, “Movies like this, there's so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film. I saw one that was convinced Elvis was in the movie. Anything can happen and that's sort of what I love about this universe. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”
“I regret that I was not quicker to shut it down the first time, so I'm going to default to my very true situation, which is as much as we love each other, the fear of death is so intense in me regarding Ryan and how he desperately wants to avoid talking about all of these proliferating rumors,” Levy said in April.
Though there's no Taylor Swift, we can expect some surprises. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, someday she'll be onscreen with the duo in a future film. For now, it seems like there's a better chance we'll see Elvis make a cameo.
