You can also catch him in the new Horizon: An American Saga movie produced by Kevin Costner.

THR reported that Craig will reprise his detective role as Denoit Blanc in the Rian Johnson movie.

The other cast members' conditionals include Josh O'Connor, who received critical acclaim for his role as young Prince Charles on The Crown. Cailee Spaeny recently played Priscilla Presley opposite Jacob Elordi in Priscilla. Meanwhile, Andrew Scott played Tom Ripley in Ripley. Scandal's Kerry Washingon, Hollywood legend Glenn Close, and MCU's Jeremy Renner close out the cast. Some late arrivals to the cast include Josh Brolin, who starred in Goonies, and Mila Kunis of That '70s Show fame.

As for how these movies are made, the director said, “Even when we. were making the first movie, I was thinking, ‘If this does well, it would be fun to keep making them, but always in the way that Agatha Christie did her books.”

IndieWire stated that Johnson wrote of his passion for the films, “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There's a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”

“I've tried hard to make them self-contained,” he added. “Honestly, I'm pissed off that we have A Knives Out Mystery in the title. You know? I want it to just be called Glass Onion. I get it, and I want everyone who liked the first movie to know this is next in the series, but also, the whole appeal to me is it's a new novel off the shelf every time. But there's a gravity of a thousand suns toward serialized storytelling.”

Rion is obviously stoked about the upcoming release. Anytime news or cast information comes out in the presses, he reposts it on X.

The plot and specific details are still under wraps, although Netflix gave us a hint of what's to come, saying, “That's right, Daniel Craig is back as the suave Southern investigator in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson. Blanc will be unraveling a brand-new murder mystery in an as-yet-undisclosed setting, surrounded by a new, colorful cast of suspects.”
