Modern Family was a hit show on ABC from 2009-2020. Over the course of 11 seasons and over 200 episodes, viewers got to watch the cast grow.

Even if it only ended a few years ago, the idea of a reboot/revival always comes up. Nowadays, every TV series is seemingly being brought back. (Even Frasier got a revival!) One of the show's stars, Sofia Vergara, has posted unofficial reunions with the cast.

Could we see a similar move taken with Modern Family? Two of the show's producers, Brad Walsh and Paul Corrigan, both seemed to have their interest piqued by the prospect of a revival.

“I'm as curious as you are”

ClutchPoints spoke to the duo about their new show, Ted. When the topic of a Modern Family revival came up, Walsh couldn't confirm anything, but they both seemed interested. In fact, the only Modern Family reunions he has seen are via Vergara.

“I'm as curious as you are, and actually my only source is the Sophia post that you're mentioning, so I'm not sure,” Walsh revealed. “I have no idea, but I think that would be a neat thing to do. I'm curious to think about where that family is now and how you might explore that. So yeah, I'm as curious as you, but I don't have any information.”

For Corrigan, he seemed even more enthusiastic about the idea. When asked if if he had any hopes for a Modern Family revival, he quickly replied, “Oh, absolutely.”

“I think it'd be great to see where everyone is,” Corrigan elaborated. “It was a great cast. It was a great group of writers. We were lucky to work on that show. And I think we'd be lucky to have a chance to revisit it, certainly.”

Ted

The two are currently promoting Ted, the new Peacock series. It's a prequel to Seth MacFarlane's two Ted films. Max Burkholder plays a young John Bennett (previously portrayed by Mark Wahlberg), who struggles to navigate high school. Scott Grimes, Giorgia Whigham, Alanna Ubach, and MacFarlane star in the series.

Ted will premiere on January 11 on Peacock.
