Fallout will premiere as a series on Prime Video in April 12, 2024, Deadline reported.

Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are producing the series through their production company Kilter Films.

The announcement was made on the 26th anniversary of Fallout Day. The celebration is dedicated to all things Fallout. Prime Video launched the show's official social media channels with the iconic Pip-Boy graphic.

Magic the Gathering Universes Beyond also launched Fallout cards. The 100-card deck will be released in March 8, 2024.

Fallout is set in post-apocalyptic world as imagined by Americans in the 1940s. The game – and the show – will feature a world that has undergone a nuclear war in 2077.

The series is an original story based on the game's world in which humans try to survive in a wasteland created by the previous generation.

Released in 1997, the protagonist called Vault Dweller is tasked to recover a water chip in the Wasteland to replace the one in their home called Vault 13. Along the way, the Vault Dweller must avoid the Master, leader of a group of mutants.

Fallout has received numerous awards including Game of the Year. Its mobile version, Fallout Shelter, has been downloaded over 170 million time.

Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight) and Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) have been cast as leads. They will be joined by Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island) and Sarita Choudhury (Homeland).

Rounding out the cast are Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Johnny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: SVU), and Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
