When Nick Foles went down with a shoulder injury in Week 1, many people wrote off the Jacksonville Jaguars this season. On the contrary, Gardner Minshew has been phenomenal as Foles' replacement in the Jaguars offense.

Since Minshew has become the starter, he has created ‘Minshew mania' in Jacksonville. The population of nearly 892,000 people in Jacksonville is beginning to grow mustaches and wear more jean shorts and headbands than usual due to the rookie quarterback.

There is no doubt that the Jaguars had no clue that the team's sixth-round pick in this year's draft would be this talented—this early into his career. When Foles is ready to return, Doug Marrone is going to have quite the decision to make under center.

Over the past month, Minshew has been remarkable for the Jaguars in just about every aspect of being a quarterback. With that being said, here are three bold predictions for Minshew in Week 6 versus the New Orleans Saints.

3. Minshew will throw three touchdowns

At the end of five weeks of the season, Minshew now has four starts under his belt in the NFL. In those games, the Washington State product has been able to work his magic to get the ball into the end zone.

Due to having seven touchdowns and just one interception in September, Minshew was named the AFC's Offensive Rookie of the Month last month. The first-year starter continued his momentum into last week as he threw for another two touchdowns.

On Sunday, Minshew could get into a shootout with a Saints team that has been able to put up points with ease with Teddy Bridgewater under center. As a result, Minshew will throw for a career-high three touchdowns versus the Saints at home.

2. Minshew will throw for 400 yards

Along with his touchdowns, Minshew has been able to throw for 1,279 yards through the air this season. Furthermore, his best game in terms of yardage came in Week 5 versus the Carolina Panthers.

The rookie signal-caller was able to bounce back from two early fumbles last Sunday to throw for a career-high 374 yards against the Panthers. Now, the charismatic quarterback will attempt to repeat his performance from Week 5 in Week 6 against the Saints.

Fortunately, Minshew should have some success facing a New Orleans defense that has allowed 255 passing yards per game this season (19th in the NFL). He will throw for 400 yards in Week 6 as he attempts to Jacksonville to a 3-3 record on the season.

1. Minshew will have a perfect passer rating of 158.3

In just his first five games in the NFL, Minshew has been extremely efficient for the Jaguars. As a rookie sixth-round pick, the Uncle Rico lookalike currently stands at sixth in the NFL in passer rating (105.6 passer rating).

Three of the quarterbacks ahead of Minshew in passer rating include Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Deshaun Watson. Among those three quarterbacks, only Watson has been able to have a game where he's posted a perfect passer rating of 158.3.

This Sunday, Minshew will join his AFC South counterpart in the select group of quarterbacks who have had a game with a perfect passer rating this season. There's no doubt that the fans in Jacksonville will be roaring as they witness their rookie quarterback put together another productive performance in Week 6.
