New York Giants wide receivers Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard had a heated sideline moment during their 49-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.

Television cameras zoomed in on the two Giants wideouts having a vocal and animated exchange on the sidelines on Sunday.

Darius Slayton promptly cleared the air with the media after the game, per ESPN NFL Nation's Jordan Raanan.

“Darius Slayton says he was having a ‘spirited conversation with WR coach Mike Groh. That's when Sterling Shepard stepped in. Slayton and Shepard said they weren't yelling at each other,” Raanan tweeted on Sunday.

Neither Slayton nor Shepard had a big game in the Giants' third straight loss. The two wide receivers combined for 23 receiving yards and one touchdown on four receptions. New York's anemic offense has been their waterloo all season long.

The final stat line said it all: the Cowboys racked up a total 0f 640 yards while the struggling Giants managed just 172 yards.

Dallas outscored New York by a combined score of 89-17 in their two meetings this season. The Cowboys shut out the Giants 40-0 in Week 1.

The Giants are having a nightmarish season

The Giants' disastrous 2023 NFL season continues. They now have lost eight of their 10 games heading into Week 11.

On the other hand, the Cowboys improved to 6-3 and remained unbeaten in four home games.

Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard weren't the only Giants who showed emotion on the sidelines in Week 10. Giants head coach Brian Daboll and running back Saquon Barkley also had an “animated discussion” during the game.

Saquon Barkley shared his frustrations about the Giants' losing situation after the game. He said they must put this game behind them and look forward to their next challenge.

Clearly, the Giants are an emotional mess entering their Week 11 game against the Washington Commanders.
