New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones recently suffered a neck injury, which was expected to keep him sidelined for some time. Giants' offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens provided a shocking update on the status of Jones on Thursday.

Wow. So not only did Jones make it through the Giants' Wednesday practice unscathed, but he is also now expected to be the team's starter in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins. What a wild turn of events.
First, there were reports that surfaced that Jones is expected to miss a couple of weeks of action, then the Giants followed up those updates by going out and signing a backup quarterback to their roster.
Then, Giants coach Joe Judge vaguely spoke to reporters about Jones' injury but left the door open for him to play on Sunday, saying that the signal-caller would practice all week.
It's not yet clear if the injury Jones suffered wasn't as serious as the Giants first thought, or if Jones is quick at recovering. The team also may have just pulled the wool over everyone's eyes when it comes to the status of their QB.
Either way, Giants fans should be excited, as it seems like Daniel Jones will be out there for a tough contest against a hot Dolphins team. That gives New York a much better chance at a win.
