New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones led his team to an overtime victory over the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field. The 22-year-old out of Duke threw a three-yard touchdown pass to fellow first-year tight end Kaden Smith for the score, winning a “must-lose” game beyond regulation (via NFL).

Smith, a sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers out of Stanford in the 2019 NFL Draft, is on the very opposite end of the spectrum compared to Jones, who was taken by New York with the sixth overall pick last April. Nevertheless, Smith scored his second and third career touchdowns on Sunday against the Redskins, scoring on two receptions in the overtime win.

Jones had been sidelined the past two weeks with an ankle sprain, giving veteran gunslinger and two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning one last time in the sun before the face of the future of the franchise returned, keeping spirits up by beating the NFC East division rival Redskins.
