Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson wasn't kidding when he said he has a “memory like an elephant.” After the Warriors won the NBA championship, Thompson unloaded on Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr., who had sent out a tweet earlier in the year appearing to mock Golden State's ‘Strength in Numbers' catchphrase after a regular season beatdown in March. The Warriors forward called Jackson a ‘freakin bum.' On Friday, Jackson's Grizzlies teammate Ja Morant responded to Thompson's comments via Twitter.

First, Grizzlies reporter Kelcey Wright Johnson tweeted out that the Grizzlies were “really out here living rent free” in Thompson's and the Warriors' heads. For context, the two teams met in a physical, testy Western Conference Semifinals series that left no love lost between the franchises.

Then, Morant responded to the tweet made by the Grizzlies reporter, saying “got a lot of real estate” with a laughing face emoji. Clearly, Morant is trying to make the point that, even after the Warriors won the NBA Finals, the Grizzlies were still getting under Thompson's skin.

Tensions were running high during the Warriors-Grizzlies series after Memphis guard Dillon Brooks knocked Warriors guard Gary Payton II out of the air, injuring him in the process. The Warriors were outraged at what they saw as a dirty play.

The two teams would lock horns the rest of the way, with the Dubs emerging in six games. The series may be over. However, the tension between these two teams clearly isn't.

NBA fans might be watching the next great rivalry bloom before their very eyes.
