Prior to Wednesday night's contest against the visiting Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies center Joakim Noah shared a heartwarming moment with a fan in attendance.

Here's Noah in “gentle giant” mode helping out a young boy nail a dunk during pre-game warm-ups with Houston's James Harden looking on:

The kid's special moment might have actually been a lucky omen for the home team. The Grizzlies ended up with a rare win over the Rockets in thrilling overtime fashion, 126-125.

Some of the kid's lucky vibes must've also rubbed onto Harden after being a part of the pre-game moment, as the reigning MVP scored 57 points for his second consecutive 50-point effort.

But alas; the local kid's positive force favored the Grizzlies even more. The fans in attendance basked in the sweet taste of a nerve-racking victory against one of the better teams in the league. Memphis is currently 13 games below .500 and will miss the playoffs for the second-straight season.

Noah finished with nine points and eight rebounds in 17 minutes of action off the bench. The former Defensive Player of the Year is clearly showing his age already, but he's doing his best to keep spirits high in Music City.

A couple of weeks ago, Noah looked like his old self again with a nice dunk against fellow French big man Rudy Gobert. But on Wednesday night, not only did he help his team eke out a win against a true playoff contender, but he also gave a young fan a once-in-a-lifetime moment to remember.
