Iowa women's basketball star Caitlin Clark is no longer a free agent when it comes to brand deals.

The women’s college basketball phenom took a major step in her business career, signing with Excel Sports Management, Chantel Jennings of The Athletic reported.

Clark, one of the most recognized college athletes in the country, has amassed several impressive NIL deals and partnerships without a management team, including deals with Nike, State Farm and Topps trading cards.

Excel Sports Management is known for representing a roster of elite athletes including Tiger Woods, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, as well as WNBA stars Arike Ogunbowale, Napheesa Collier and NaLyssa Smith. It makes Clark's partnership with them a notable development. The agency's track record and reputation underscore her determination to excel in her basketball journey.

“I’m lucky to just be starting my career at a time when sports are intertwined with business and entertainment more so than ever before,” Caitlin Clark said. “Personally I’m looking forward to being part of innovative partnerships, helping to elevate women’s sports.”

Clark has had a busy October. She also was just named to the AP's preseason All-America Team. The Iowa women's basketball team also set a record Oct. 15 during its exhibition game against DePaul with 55,646 fans in attendance, the highest-grossing women's basketball game of all time.

The 2023-24 season might also be Clark's final college season, since she will be eligible for the 2024 WNBA Draft. However, she could choose to forgo the draft and play college basketball for one more season because of the COVID-19 bonus season.
