Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been fully reinstated by the NFL, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. His reinstatement gives Trevor Lawrence another weapon as a receiver.

The Jaguars traded for Calvin Ridley ahead of the 2022 NFL trade deadline, knowing that he would not participate for the team in 2022, but hoped to get him on the field for 2023, and it seems that will happen now. The Jaguars gave up a conditional 2023 fifth-round pick and a conditional 2024 second-round pick.

Ridley could be the number one option in an offense that will feature Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones and Evan Engram. Ridley's most productive season in the NFL came in 2020, when he put up 1374 yards and nine touchdowns in 15 games with the Atlanta Falcons. He put up 281 yards and two touchdowns in five games in 2021, before he stepped away from the Falcons for mental health reasons.

In March 2022, Ridley was suspended for violating the NFL's gambling policy.

Doug Pederson's Jaguars will look to build off of a successful 2022 season, in which they won the AFC South with a 9-8 record. They beat the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round.

With Ridley now in the fold, the Jaguars will try to take the next step with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback and Doug Pederson's a head coach.

With the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts coming off unsuccessful seasons and the Tennessee Titans seemingly entering a transition phase, the Jaguars should be a popular pick in the AFC South in 2023.
