The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a late-game collapse against the Cincinnati Bengals. The loss adds insult to injury, as they also lose star receiver DJ Chark.

Chark had a Jaguars teammate slide into his ankles early on in the contest. He had to be carted off the field and did not make any attempts at a return.

The Jaguars' worst fears came true after DJ Chark was diagnosed in the locker room. NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on the news and has him out indefinitely.

Via Ian Rapoport:

“Jaguars WR DJ Chark suffered a fractured ankle, source said. Out indefinitely. Just a brutal injury for one of Jacksonville’s best players.”

After the game, Urban Meyer confirmed the worst as Chark indeed suffered a broken ankle.

Losing DJ Chark is a massive blow to the Jaguars, who are already scuffling through four games this year. He was the team's top target in each of the last two seasons, including his 2019 campaign that led to his first Pro Bowl appearance. Chark eclipsed the 1000 yard mark and pulled down eight touchdowns that season.

The Jaguars have now lost 19 games in a row, tied for the third worst streak in franchise history. With DJ Chark out for the foreseeable future, things aren't looking any better.
