Cornerback Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars. To all 31 teams interested in a 24-year-old All-Pro, there is a high asking price. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jacksonville is asking for at least one first-round pick for the mercurial cornerback, “but want more than that in return.”

Jacksonville's high asking price for Ramsey shouldn't come off as a surprise. In his first three seasons of the NFL—after being selected No. 5 overall in 2016—Ramsey has visited the Pro Bowl twice and earned a first-team All-Pro nod in 2017.
A 6-foot-1 cornerback with the ability to play man or zone and outside or inside, Ramsey is a high-level plug and play cornerback with much more room to grow.
Ramsey recently publicly asked for a contract extension, from his last two years of his rookie deal. He showed up at Jaguars training camp in a Brinks Truck joined by comedian HaHa Davis, who introduced Ramsey. Though he asked for a new deal, the Jaguars gave little indications they would discuss or give him one.
Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Houston Texans may have been Ramsey's tipping point with the team. After head coach Doug Marrone failed to challenge a dropped pass ruled a completion, Ramsey argued with his head coach on the sideline (more like yelled). At one point, it was so heated that teammates had to split the two up.
Ramsey's request to be traded shouldn't come as a surprise considering his wavering happiness with the team in the public eye.
