The Jacksonville Jaguars saw their playoff hopes crumble before their eyes with a Week 18 loss to the Tennessee Titans. But with the Jaguars falling, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills have punched their ticket to the playoffs.

Jacksonville lost 28-20 to Tennessee, dropping their record to 9-8. With the Houston Texans taking down the Indianapolis Colts earlier in Week 18, they are now the AFC South champions.

The Steelers also earned a win before Sunday in Week 18, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 17-10. The win moved them to 10-7. Buffalo will take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 18's Sunday Night Football. the winner of that game will be deemed the AFC East champions. But by virtue of the Jaguars losing, the Bills are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs no matter the outcome of their game with the Dolphins.

The Jaguars entered Week 12 with an 8-3 record. They looked poised to win their second straight AFC South crown. However, Jacksonville went on to lose five of their last six games, eliminating themselves from the playoffs.

Jacksonville put up a strong fight against the Titans. Down eight, they marched down to Tennessee's one-yard line but were unable to find the end zone. Still down eight, the Jags got the ball back with just over two minutes left in the contest. But Jacksonville wasn't able to capitalize.

But what has been a collapse for the Jags has become the Steelers' and Bills' lottery tickets. Both teams have dealt with controversy throughout the year and battled through tough losses. But that effort has paid off – and with a little help for the Jaguars – as the Steelers and Bills have clinched their spot in the playoffs.
