The Jacksonville Jaguars are having an extremely tough season, as they currently have a 2-10 record, good for last in the AFC South. The Jaguars' frustrations were evident in their most recent loss, which was an embarrassing 7-37 stinker against the Los Angeles Rams. Part of this loss was a fumble by Jaguars running back James Robinson, which saw him lose the ball to the Rams' defensive star, Aaron Donald. While Robinson is currently managing knee and heel injuries, which supposedly attributed to him sitting out the next 20 snaps, Robinson does believe that he was benched for his fumble.

‘I would say so,' Robinson responded. ‘Obviously, like I said last week, I mean, that (fumbles) can't happen. When it happens and you're out for that long, you gotta feel that way. I was just waiting my chance to get back in the game, didn't really come until the third quarter.'”
Robinson also fumbled the ball in the previous week against the Atlanta Falcons, which may have been another factor in the Jaguars coaching staff's decision to make him sit. On Coach Urban Meyer's end, the decision to bench Robinson was primarily injury-related, but he conceded that the Jaguars RB coach Bernie Parmalee is in charge of the RB rotation.
While the Jaguars continue to struggle, James Robinson is presented with the opportunity to polish his game even more leading up to Jacksonville's showdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 14.
