The NFL Draft is quickly approaching and teams are preparing to make their selections. One of the most difficult selections this season is the first overall pick, as the Jacksonville Jaguars don’t have one clear cut option. In previous seasons, players such as Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence were always going to be taken first overall. But there isn't one player who stands above the rest this year.

Jaguars cornerback Shaquill Griffin recently joined the “All Things Covered” podcast and shared who he believes the team should take number one overall.

“If we get that big boy [Walker]. Pat, if we get that big boy. I’m telling you [teams would be like] ‘woah boy, they moving like that?’ I am going to be licking my chops back there.”

Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker rose up the overall rankings with an impressive combine performance. Griffin is naturally a bit biased since he plays on the defensive side of the ball, but nonetheless, adding a player with Walker’s ability would absolutely be beneficial for the Jaguars.

But Michigan's Aidan Hutchison is generally considered a top level prospect so Jacksonville may choose to roll with him instead. If they opt for added offensive line protection for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Alabama’s Evan Neal would be the perfect fit.

Although the Jaguars don’t have that one standout selection, they have no shortage of top-tier talent waiting in the wings. Jacksonville will look to select their next future star in the 2022 NFL Draft, whether it be Travon Walker, Aidan Hutchison, Evan Neal, or someone else. But if Shaquill Griffin had the responsibility of making the pick, it is clear that Walker would be headed to Jacksonville.
