It was a 14-0 lead for the Jacksonville Jaguars over the Cincinnati Bengals at halftime on Thursday night and would've been more if not for a goal-line stand at the end of the first half by Cincinnati.

The end result was all too familiar for the Jaguars though, as they lost yet again, this time 24-21.

Per the team website for the Jaguars, rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence believes this team is close to figuring it out.

“We’re up 14-0 at halftime and come back out and just somehow come up on the wrong side of it, that’s tough,” the Jaguars rookie quarterback said. “We’re going to bounce back, no doubt, I know what we’re made of. Just seeing how we’ve handled the first three weeks, I know nothing is going to change but, damn, I really want to get a win with these guys. We’ve just got to finish, collectively. It’s everybody. It’s not one side of the ball or anything like that. It’s all of us finishing. I’m not even going to say it’s going to take time, we’re right there and you guys have seen it the last few weeks.”

Jacksonville will now get set to have three of their next four games at home as they look for that elusive first win. The schedule isn't doing many favors for the Jaguars as those three home games will be against the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. The road game sandwiched in is a west coast trip to Seattle to take on the Seahawks.

Lawrence believes the time for that first win is nearing and Jaguars fans hope his intuition is correct.
