The Jacksonville Jaguars had not won a game since September of 2020 before taking down the Miami Dolphins with a game-winning field goal Sunday. Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence each won their first game with the Jaguars as well.

After not making a field goal in the first five weeks of the season (the first NFL team since 1962 to do such a thing), the Jaguars made three field goals on Sunday, with the last one giving them the win over the Dolphins.

Trevor Lawrence was 25-of-41 for 319 yards and a touchdown in his first career win. Marvin Jones Jr. finished with seven catches for 100 yards with a touchdown as well. Running back James Robinson continued to excel in the ground game, rushing 17 times for 73 yards with a score of his own.

Urban Meyer's turbulent start to his tenure as Jaguars head coach has been entertaining at times, but today the Jaguars actually resembled an NFL football team for the final two-and-a-half quarters after a sluggish start to the game. Lawrence connected with Jones for a long touchdown before the half, sparking the Jaguars who would come back and take home the win.

Tua Tagovailoa played solid for the Dolphins in his return from a rib injury, completing 33-of-47 passes for 329 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Miami has now lost five straight games after opening the season with a narrow win over the New England Patriots. Miami will look to get back into the win column vs. the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7.
