Jenna Ortega dropped a major truth bomb about the experience of filming Tim Burton's Beetlejuice 2.
The most fun she's ever had?
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Ortega claimed the sequel may be the “most fun” she's had on a set. Additionally, she praised the visuals as practical effects were utilized for the film.
“I don't know if I can say anything about Beetlejuice!” she confessed with a laugh. “All I can say [is] probably some of the msot fun I've ever had on a set. Visually, so exciting. Everything was practical, so, I think we're not using much CGI or anything like that at all.
“So it was nice. It was very satisfying shooting on set because you got instant satisfaction. It looks cool, everyone did an incredible job, I felt so lucky to be there, it was insane. I can't wait for people to see that one,” she continued.
This isn't Ortega's first collaboration with Tim Burton. Previously acted in his series Wednesday, which Burton produced and directed several episodes of. A second season is forthcoming.
Beetlejuice 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the first film from 1988. Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara all star in the film. Ortega joins the cast alongisde Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe. In the film, Ortega plays Astrid Deetz, daughter of Lydia.
Jenna Ortega is one of the biggest actresses in the world thanks to her roles in Wednesday and the Scream franchise. Some of her other notable credits include The Fallout, X, and Studio 666. She will appear in Miller's Girl and Death of a Unicorn soon.
Beetlejuice 2 will be released on September 6, 2024.
